One of the great joys of music is singing in harmony. This can be a challenge to young singers so, in time-honoured fashion, we like to introduce young singers to the notion of singing in parts gently - with a few rounds, catches and quodlibets. This is a way of singing the same, unison tune – but at different times. Singers get the feel of singing an independent part and ‘holding a line’ and ‘holding a rhythm’. There are many simple examples that you will already know, such as ‘London’s Burning’ and ‘Row, row, row your boat’.  Here are a few examples of some other ones we like to use.
