EPOC’s very own fairytale

Olivia is a singer (mezzo soprano) and workshop leader. Originally from Cambridge, Olivia went to St. Paul’s CofE Primary School, Parkside Community College and Long Road Sixth Form College before winning a place at the Royal Northern College of Music. She also attended English National Opera’s The Knack, and the GSMD, before receiving a fellowship to Aspen, Colorado to study with Susanne Mentzer.

In 1993 EPOC toured Cinderella to Cambridge. In the audience were the family (including four daughters) of Cambridge architect Nicholas Ray. One of them, Olivia, by then in her early teens, was so entranced and inspired by the experience that she decided, there and then, that she wanted to be an opera singer. She went on to fulfil her dream studying at the RNCM and GSMD. We were therefore delighted to be able to announce that, after her success with EPOC as Smeraldina in The Love for Three Oranges, Olivia would play the lead role in Cinderella.

Olivia is a tremendously flexible and talented performer. Not only has she been playing the role of Cinderella for EPOC but she performs in schools all over London in Opera Hotpot and Opera Blocks and leads vocal workshops.
