Opera Blocks (Orpheus and Eurydice version), which toured to over 50 Camden schools Nov-Dec 2013, was an interactive presentation commissioned by Camden Music Service for all Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 children from schools participating in their Camden Music Festival - a festival of music that reaches its climax in March 2014 with choirs from every Camden school singing at the Royal Albert Hall. EPOC’s specific role in this project is to lead a short version of the Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice that will be performed by the schools’ choirs and orchestras. The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Camden Music’s other main hub partner, was also involved – Timothy Kraemer (composer, cellist and arranger) did the orchestrations and members of the orchestra coached the young orchestral players in baroque playing techniques.

“Thank you – adults and children alike greatly enjoyed it. Slick performance. I've also had staff popping in to my room to tell me how great they thought it was. Thanks so much for your work in making opera accessible!.”
